Created for a Purpose

God has not only created you for a purpose, but you also have everything you need to do everything God wants you to do. Have you had the thought “If I had _______, then I could do _______”? For me, the thought is one that crosses my mind on a daily basis. Things like:

If I had more money, then I could give more to those in need.

If I had more time, then I could spend more time doing the things I love.

If I had a better job, then I could enjoy my life a little more.

If I had different circumstances, then life would be easier.

Whatever your “If..then” scenario is, embrace it. God never gives you an assignment and forgets to give you the gifts you need to accomplish it. Unfortunately, we too often focus on what we don’t have instead of what we do have. We focus on what we can’t do instead of focusing on what we can do. We focus on what we’re not instead of what we are.

God has already given you everything you need to accomplish what He has called you to do.

2 Peter 1:3 says, His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.

God has changed my thought process to something that goes more like this:

Because I have given you this money, be generous with what you have.

Because I have given you time each day, make the best of every opportunity.

Because I have provided you a job, make a difference wherever you are.

Because you are in the circumstances you’re in, Jesus can be exalted through you.

Wherever you are, whatever you’re going through, stop living a life based on the things you don’t have. You are fully equipped right now as you’re reading this to do EVERYTHING God wants you to do.

God has equipped you, enabled you, and empowered you. Now get up and be the difference!
